1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help websites function and remember information about your visit.
2. Your choices
When you first visit our site, you're asked to choose between accepting all cookies, essential cookies only, or customizing your preferences by category. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page.
3. Cookies we use
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
user-info | Essential | Keeps you logged in and remembers your account role (student/tutor/admin) | Session |
cookie-consent | Essential | Remembers your cookie preference choice, so we don't ask every visit | 12 months |
4. Essential cookies
The cookies above are required for the portal to function (keeping you signed in, remembering your consent choice) and can't be disabled without preventing you from using the site.
5. Functional cookies
If you opt in, we remember small preferences like whether you've already dismissed the "install this app" prompt, so we don't repeat it every visit. If you decline this category, that preference simply isn't remembered, and prompts may reappear more often.
6. Analytics cookies
We don't currently use any analytics or tracking cookies. Your choice for this category is saved so that if we add analytics in the future, it respects the decision you already made rather than assuming consent.
